SP's PDA mask to hide pariwarwadi, dabang, apradhi: BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi
Lucknow, Aug 16 (PTI) BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said the Samajwadi Party's PDA is a mask to hide dynasts, dictators and criminals, as he hit out at the INDIA block leaders over the recent incidents of crime against women.
In the run up to the last Lok Sabha elections, Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav coined PDA -- which stood for "pichhda" (backward), Dalit and "alpsankhyak" (minorities) -- as the party's vote base.
Attacking Yadav's coinage, Trivedi said the PDA is a mask to hide "parivarwadi" (dynasts), "dabang" (dictators) and "apradhi" (criminals).
"I want to tell Akhilesh Yadav who used to chant the slogan of PDA. This PDA is a mask and their real face is 'parivarvadi', 'dabang' and 'apradhi'. This is the true face of Samajwadi Party," said Trivedi while speaking at a press conference at the BJP state headquarters here.
"This is the real DNA of the SP to get power for 'parvarvadi' with help of 'dabang' and 'apradhi'," the BJP Rajya Sabha MP added.
Trivedi cited the incident of alleged gang rape of a minor in Ayodhya by a man whom BJP leaders claim to be a part of the SP, and a recent case of alleged rape bid of a minor girl by a former member of the SP.
The BJP leader started by mentioning the recent case of rape and murder of medical student in Kolkata. "A particular mindset has encouraged criminal elements to destroy evidence as part of a conspiracy by damaging the place after the tragic incident," said Trivedi.
He claimed that the same mindset has encouraged criminals to commit crimes against women in Uttar Pradesh. "From Kannauj to Kolkata, hatred and animosity towards women along with the mentality of protecting criminals is being seen," he said.
He also questioned Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi alleging that none of the three has raised their voice against the recent incident against women. PTI COR CDN CDN KSS KSS
